എം ബി എ വിദ്യാര്ഥിയാണ് വിവേക് (ജയസൂര്യ); പിണങ്ങിപ്പിരിഞ്ഞ് ജീവിക്കുന്ന അഭിഭാഷകദമ്പതികളുടെ (സിദ്ദിഖ്, രേഖ) ഒറ്റപ്പുത്രന്. ട്രീസ (സംവൃത സുനില്) അടക്കമുള്ള ഒരു സുഹൃദ്വലയമാണ് വിവേകിന്റെ ശക്തി. കോഴ്സ് കഴിഞ്ഞിറങ്ങിയതേ വിവേകിന് ഒരേ വാശി: കല്യാണം കഴിക്കണം! ഒടുവില്, ഇരുപതുകാരിയായ കാവ്യ (ഭാമ) ഇരുപത്തിരണ്ടുകാരനായ വിവേകിന്റെ വധുവായി എത്തുന്നു. വിവേക് – കാവ്യ ബന്ധം വഷളാകാന് ഏറെ സമയമൊന്നും വേണ്ടി വന്നില്ല. അങ്ങനെ ഒരു വീട്ടിലെ രണ്ടു കുടുംബങ്ങളും കുഴപ്പത്തിലാകുന്നു. ഒടുവില്, പ്രശ്നങ്ങള് കലങ്ങിത്തെളിയുന്നിടത്ത് എല്ലാവരും നിരന്നു നിന്ന് – പഴയ അതേ സ്റ്റൈലില് – ഗ്രൂപ്പ് ഫോട്ടോയ്ക്ക് പോസ് ചെയ്യുമ്പോള് ശുഭം!

സ്വന്തമായൊരു വ്യക്തിത്വമോ സ്വഭാവത്തില് കണ്സിസ്റ്റന്സിയോ ഇല്ലാത്ത കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള് മാത്രമാണ് ഈ ചിത്രത്തിലുള്ളതെങ്കിലും സംവൃത സുനില് (നന്നായി) അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ട്രീസയും സുരാജ് വെഞ്ഞാറമൂടിന്റെ വക്കീല് + കുക്ക് കഥാപാത്രവും അങ്ങനെയല്ല എന്നത് ആശ്വാസകരമാണ്. സുരാജിന് ഇടയ്ക്ക് കാണികളെ ചിരിപ്പിക്കാന് കഴിയുന്നുമുണ്ട്. വിവേകിന്റെ (ജയസൂര്യ) പൊട്ടത്തരങ്ങളും ചിലപ്പോള് ചിരിയുണര്ത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. മലയാളത്തിലെ ടെലിവിഷന് പരമ്പരക്കാര് രണ്ടും മൂന്നും കൊല്ലം നീട്ടുന്ന കഥകള് ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ മണിക്കൂര് കൊണ്ട് സ്ക്രീനില് കാണിക്കാവുന്നതേയുള്ളു എന്ന മഹാസത്യം നമുക്ക് മനസിലാക്കിത്തരുന്നുമുണ്ട് ഈ ചിത്രം. (സീരിയല് പ്രേമികള്ക്ക് കേരളത്തില് ഒരു പഞ്ഞവുമില്ലാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് ചിത്രം ഹിറ്റാകാനും മതി. ശിവ.. ശിവ.. ടെലികാലം!)
DOUBTS
സിനിമ കണ്ടു തീര്ന്നപ്പോള് തോന്നിയ 129 സംശയങ്ങളില് അഞ്ചെണ്ണം താഴെ:
1. വര്ഷങ്ങളായി പിണങ്ങിക്കഴിയുന്ന അഭിഭാഷകദമ്പതികള് വീണ്ടും ഒന്നിച്ചു ചേരാന് കാരണമായത് ഭര്ത്താവിനു വന്ന പനിയാണ്. നേരത്തെ പനി വരാതിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടാണോ അവരുടെ പിണക്കം ഇത്രയും നീണ്ടത്?
2. രണ്ടു പേര്ക്ക് – അല്ലെങ്കില് പോട്ടെ, പത്തു പേര്ക്ക് – ഭക്ഷണമുണ്ടാക്കാന് ഒരു കുട്ടിലോറി നിറയെ പച്ചക്കറി വാങ്ങേണ്ട കാര്യമില്ലെന്ന് ഏതു പൊട്ടനും അറിയാമെന്ന എന്റെ ധാരണ തെറ്റാണോ?
3. ജയസൂര്യയുടെ വിവേക് എന്ന കഥാപാത്രത്തെ ഒരു ലോകപൊട്ടനായിട്ടാണ് 96% സീനുകളിലും കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവര്ക്ക് ബോധമുള്ള ആരെങ്കിലും പെണ്ണ് കൊടുക്കുമോ?
4. റേഡിയോയിലൂടെ ചീത്തവിളി പ്രക്ഷേപണം നടത്തുന്നത് തടയാന്, നാട്ടുകാര് മുഴുവന് അതു കേട്ട് സമാധിയടയുന്നതുവരെ റേഡിയോ സ്റ്റേഷന്കാര് കാത്തിരിക്കുമോ?
5. കേരളത്തിലും അയല് സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലുമുള്ള നടിമാരെ മുഴുവന് കല്യാണം കഴിക്കുന്നത് സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടും പറഞ്ഞും നടന്ന ഒരു കഥാപാത്രം, ഞാന് കല്യാണം കഴിച്ചത് അച്ചനമ്മമാരുടെ പിണക്കം തീര്ക്കാനാണെന്നും മറ്റും പറയുമ്പോള് ചിരിക്കണോ, അതോ നായികയോടൊപ്പം കരയണോ?

രണ്ടര മണിക്കൂറില് തീരുന്ന ഒരു ടെലിവിഷന് സീരിയല്. (എങ്കിലും, അദ്ഭുതകരമെന്നു പറയട്ടെ, ഈ ചിത്രത്തിലെ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെയെല്ലാം തുടക്കം മുതല് ഒടുക്കം വരെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് ഒരേ അഭിനേതാക്കള് തന്നെയാണ്!! സീരിയലാകുമ്പോള് നായകനും നായികയും പോലും മാറുന്നതാണല്ലോ പതിവ്.)

Ivar Vivahitharayal is just an AVERAGE TIMEPASS flick, something that is to be tried at one’s own risk, as Murthy said. It is shocking to find that there are people to praise this movie!! Really shocking!

I cannot agree to Ivar Vivahitharayal being just an average time-pass flick or as Jessy says “ithupolulla cinemaye pukazhthaan aalundakunnathanu malayala cinemayute sapam. nammal nannavilla!!”. (anyway to each his own….)
I think Malayalee’s inde real shapam is in their hesitation to accept a thing when it is good and in seeing only the flaws and leaving aside the good part of anything.
Ivar Vivahitharayal has got a very good story line, backed by very good music, lovely picturization and good portrayal by all stars.
This is a good and clean family entertainer. No doubt in that.
My husband who does not praise anything so soon (a typical malayalee) found this movie to be different and refreshing. Before going to the movie he was saying “Oh! Suraj does the same comedy in all films, Jayasurya is always the same in all films etc etc”. After seeing the movie I asked him what he thought about the movie. He said it was good. He enjoyed the comedy and said that Jayasurya has done well. I am not a big fan of Jayasurya’s still I think he has done a very good job. Hope our Malayalee directors stop stereotyping him and give him sound roles to portray.
The director of this movie is a new comer to to the BIG SCREEN. I am sure he will rectify the few mistakes in this movie and the next film of his would be a perfect one.
‘Nallathu kandaal nallathannennu parayaan manasu kannikkanam’. Every single film has flaws. But if it is created by a director of our liking or acted by an actor whom we like we just ignore the faults and look only at the + points. We never hesitate to justify the faults too… that is just human nature.
Finally, I can say that this film can be viewed without any risk. A real good family entertainer.

ഒരു കാര്യമെന്തായാലും മനസ്സിലായി, സിനിമ തീയേറ്ററില് കാണുന്നതിനിടയില് മൂര്ത്തി തിരക്കിട്ട് 129 ഡൌട്ടുകളും അവയില് ഏത് അഞ്ചെണ്ണം പോസ്റ്റിലിടാമെന്നും ആലോചിക്കുകയായിരുന്നിരിക്കണം….
ജയസൂര്യയും ഭാമയും തകര്ത്തഭിനയിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ് ഈ സിനിമയില്. ജയസൂര്യയ്ക്ക് മുമ്പ് ഇത്തരം അഭിനയ പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ള കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള് ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്ന് സംശയം. കാവ്യ എന്ന പെണ്കുട്ടിയുടെ ചടുല ഭാവങ്ങളെ മനോഹരമാക്കി ഭാമ. മലയാള സിനിമയ്ക്ക് ഈ പെണ്കുട്ടിയില് നിന്ന് ഏറെ മികച്ച പ്രകടനങ്ങള് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാം.
ഭാമ അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കാവ്യയ്ക്കാണ് കൃഷ്ണയുടെ സംഭാഷണങ്ങളുടെ കരുത്ത് ഗുണമായത്. “പുരുഷന്മാര്ക്ക് ജീന്സും ടീഷര്ട്ടും ആകാം, അവന് സ്വപ്നം കാണുന്ന ഭാര്യക്ക് മുണ്ടും നേര്യതും തുളസിക്കതിരും”, “ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാര്ക്ക് മാത്രമേ ദേഷ്യം വരാന് പാടുള്ളൂ? ഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാരുടെ കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തലുകള് സഹിക്കുന്ന ഭാര്യമാര്ക്കും ദേഷ്യമാകാം”, “ആദ്യം എന്റെ ജോലിയില്ലാതാക്കി, ഇപ്പോള് എന്റെ ജീവിതവും ഇല്ലാതാക്കി” – കത്തിക്കയറുകയാണ് അക്ഷരാര്ത്ഥത്തില് ഭാമ.

ഒരു മികച്ച കഥയും അതിന്റെ മനോഹരമായ അവതരണവും ‘ഇവര് വിവാഹിതരായാല്’ സൂപ്പര് ഹിറ്റായിരിക്കുമെന്ന് ഉറപ്പു നല്കുന്നു. ലളിതമായ സിനിമകളെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന പ്രേക്ഷകര്ക്ക് ഒരു വിരുന്നായിരിക്കും ഈ സിനിമ. ഇത്തരം പരീക്ഷണങ്ങളാണ് ശ്വാസം കിട്ടാതെ വലയുന്ന മലയാള സിനിമയ്ക്ക് ഓക്സിജനായി മാറുന്നത്

the sequence where an rj blasts a caller while her program is on air is not digestible…there are a cpl of other scenes too which tests yur patience and questions ur intelligence…

എന്താണ് മൂര്ത്തി അകെ കൂടി ഒരു വശപിശക്? പൊതുവേ പടം തരക്കേടില്ല എന്നാണല്ലോ കേക്കുന്നത്. എന്തയാലും ഒരു നവാഗത സംവിധായകന് അല്ലെ? ആ ഒരു consideration കൊടുക്കണ്ടേ? ഇങ്ങനെ അരുത് മുറിച്ചു നിരൂപികെണ്ടയിരുന്നു എന്ന് ഒരു എളിയ അഭിപ്രായം ഉണ്ട് കേട്ടോ..

I predicted it right when I read the Review of Passenger.
The Reviews at Indulekha is experincing some sort of deterioration.
The importance seems to be shifted on portraying the bad and faults of the movie rather than trying to find the good points.
We always loved Indulekha for the reviews and are definitely sad about the recent reviews. Would be so sad to be asked to leave.

Ivar Vivahitharai is an above average movie from a debuted director. It is not bad as given in the review. But some of the foolish activities of the hero character is un believable. The main mistake is showing hero as a student of MBA course. Non of the MBA ‘s does this type of foolishness. Behavior of the hero in the interview scene is evident for that. In all other aspect the film is a good entertainer.
Nice attempt, but does not sure about to use the situations properly. Songs are nice. did not able to convert good storyline into a superhit movie. It is looks like that MBA means MANDHA BHUDHI ADMINISTRATION. Can you imagine even a 10 year old child will buy a full lorry vegetables for two member family?. MBA hero does not know the names of vegetables -Malayalam or English names !. wonderful character!. Suraj is the only entertainment in this movie. Good acting from bhama & somvritha also.
