ഹൈ-ടെക് ശൈലിയില് എ ടി എമ്മുകളില് നിന്ന് പണം അടിച്ചു മാറ്റുന്ന വെങ്കിടേഷ് അയ്യര് എന്ന സിദ്ധാര്ഥനാണ് (പൃഥ്വിരാജ്) റോബിന് ഹുഡിലെ കേന്ദ്രകഥാപാത്രം. രാത്രി മോഷ്ടാവിന്റെ വേഷമിടുന്ന വെങ്കി, പകല് ഒരു എന്ട്രന്സ് കോച്ചിംഗ് സെന്ററിലെ ഫിസിക്സ് ടീച്ചറാണ്. മോഷണം നടക്കുന്നത് ഒരു ബാങ്കിന്റെ എ ടി എമ്മുകളില് മാത്രം. കള്ളനെ പിടിക്കാന് പൊലീസിനു കഴിയാതെ വരുമ്പോള്, ബാങ്കിന്റെ എക്സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് ഡയറക്ടര് (ബിജു മേനോന്) ഫെലിക്സ് എന്ന പ്രൈവറ്റ് ഡിറ്റക്റ്റീവിന്റെ (നരേന്) സഹായം തേടുന്നു. ഫെലിക്സിന്റെ സഹായിയായി ബാങ്കിലെ തന്നെ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥയായ രൂപയുമുണ്ട് (ഭാവന). ഫെലിക്സ് കള്ളനെ കണ്ടെത്തുമെങ്കിലും അപ്പോഴേക്കും കഥ പാടെ മാറുന്നു.
PLUSES
പൃഥ്വിരാജും, പതിവില്ലാതെ നരേനും നന്നായി അഭിനയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. സിനിമയുടെ ക്ലൈമാക്സിലുള്ള പകരംവീട്ടല് സീനുകള് കണ്ടിരിക്കാന് രസമുണ്ട്. അല്പവസ്ത്രധാരിണികളുടെ നൃത്തം താല്പര്യമുള്ളവര്ക്ക് അതിന് ഒന്നിലധികം അവസരങ്ങളുണ്ട്.
MINUSES
ഒരു തരത്തിലും ന്യായീകരിക്കാനോ വിശ്വസിക്കാനോ പറ്റാത്ത അയുക്തികളിലും അബദ്ധങ്ങളിലുമാണ് ഈ സിനിമയുടെ കഥ മുഴുവന് കെട്ടിപ്പടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. അതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നെ, സിനിമ മിക്കപ്പോഴും അവിശ്വസനീയവും വിരസവും വിചിത്രവും ആകുന്നു. വെങ്കിയുടെ പിന്നാലെ ചുറ്റിത്തിരിഞ്ഞു നടക്കുന്ന കാമുകിവേഷവും (സംവൃത സുനില്) ഇതുപോലെ വിരസമാണ്; തികച്ചും അനാവശ്യവും.
എണ്ണിയെണ്ണി പറയാവുന്ന മണ്ടത്തരങ്ങള് എത്ര വേണമെങ്കിലും കണ്ടുപിടിക്കാം; എണ്ണാനും പറയാനുമൊക്കെയുള്ള ക്ഷമ ഉണ്ടാകണമെന്നു മാത്രം! ഒരു സാമ്പിള് മാത്രം: ഒരേ വേഷത്തില് ഒരേ സമയത്ത് ഒരേ സ്ഥലത്തെ എ ടി എമ്മുകളില് മൂന്നോ നാലോ ഡസന് കാര്ഡുകളുമായി പതിവായി എത്തുന്ന ഒരു കള്ളനെ പിടിക്കാന് എ ടി എമ്മിന്റെ മുന്നില് ഇരിക്കുന്നതായി പല സീനുകളിലും കാണിക്കുന്ന സെക്യൂരിറ്റിക്കാരന് വിചാരിച്ചാല് മതി. പക്ഷേ, ഒരു പ്രൈവറ്റ് ഡിറ്റക്ടീവും പബ്ലിക് ഡിറ്റക്ടീവും കൂടി തല കുത്തി നിന്നിട്ടും ആശാനെ തൊടാന് പോലും പറ്റുന്നില്ല (മൂള മുത്തൂറ്റിലോ മറ്റോ പണയം വച്ചിട്ടു വരുന്നവര്ക്ക് ഇതൊക്കെ ആസ്വദിക്കാന് പറ്റുമായിരിക്കും. )

ഒരു ജോലി പോലെ, സിനിമകളൊന്നും വിടാതെ കാണുന്നവര്ക്ക് മാത്രം ഒരു കൈ നോക്കാവുന്ന ചിത്രം.

ഈ സച്ചി-സേതുവിന് എന്ത് പറ്റി? എല്ലാ തിരകഥാകൃത്തുക്കളും ചിത്രീകരണം തുടങ്ങുന്നതിനു മുന്പ് ഒരു സാധാരണ പ്രേക്ഷകനെ വിളിച്ചിരുത്തി കഥ പറഞ്ഞു കേള്പ്പിക്കണം. ഒരു കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞാല്, പലര്ക്കും താന് എഴുതുന്ന എല്ലാം ക്ലാസ്സിക് ആണ്. അതായിരിക്കാം ഇവിടെയും സംഭവിച്ചത്.
നിരന്ദരം തോല്വികള് എടുവാങ്ങി വിണ്ടും വിണ്ടും കഴിവില്ലായ്മ തെളിയിച്ച പ്രിഥ്വിരാജിനു ഇനി മണിരത്നത്തിന്റെ പടം മാത്രമേ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കാന് വകയുള്ളൂ. ഫാന്സെന്ന ഓമന പേരില് കുറെ ചെറുപ്പകാര് ( അതികവും പതിനാലിനും ഇരുപതിനും ഇടയില് പ്രായം ഉള്ളവര് ) അദ്ധേഹത്തിന്റെ വീട്ടില് നിന്നും കാശും വാങ്ങി സിനിമ തിയേറ്ററില് വന്നു കയ്യടിച്ചു, ഇറങ്ങുന്ന ഓരോ പടവും വിജയിപ്പിക്കാന് നോകുനുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ അതെ ശ്രമം ഈ സിനിമക്ക് തുണച്ചില്ല.
It’s a good watch. Atleast respect it for the details of the stuff used in the movie. ATM robberies, though not totally foolproof, are pictured in a convincing manner which people seemed to have liked.
Also, a scene to the ending involving Biju menon and Narein is shot in super style with excellent color tones and lightning.
And the minus described in the review. Maybe, there are some not-totally-family-friendly couple of songs, but, c’mon, you know what to take and what not to, right.

Robinhood is a good one time watch if mindless entertainment is what you are looking for.
Well, the story is routine stuff with a not so great screenplay as well. It’s an illogical one with lots of loopholes in the script. But what works in favour of the movie is it’s presentation and it’s unexpected twist in the climax. You may blame it as all style and less substance, but as long as it manage to entertain you,should you really care? The story drags big time in the early part of the second half. But the latter half is full of twists and culminates in a decent climax. Joshiy seems to be in the Abbas Mustaan mode and it looks as if Joshiy and co had so many hindi movies by the duo as the reference point. There are only two fight sequences in the movie and that too un-wanted and fails to make much of an impact. Salim Kumar and Jaffer idukki pops up in the first half with some double meaning dialogues and disappear all on a sudden.
Coming to the performances ,for prithviraaj ,the role was an extension of what he had done in Puthya Mukham. He looked hot and stylish. Narein went overboard in so many scenes and his character as a womaniser was not well etched out. Jayasurya was adequate and so was Biju Menon as the Villain. Bhavana looked glamorous, exactly what she was asked to do. I still can’t figure out where did Samvrutha go all on a sudden after a duet with Prithvi Raaj. May be, Joshiy might have fired her for not performing well in that song sequence. Editing was okay, the cinematography was passable with most of the scenes shot inside a flat and the outdoors are mostly in Ramada resort.
Go to the movie hall leaving behind your brain at your homes and there is every possibility that you come out satisfied.
Verdict: Time pass/ average.

the theme is quiet interesting but makers failed to transform that into screen.lot of illogical sequences & lot of loop holes in this movie.you cannot expect such a film from the veteran director joshiy sir. screenplay is not upto the mark. this is a watchable film without thinking more logics and ofcourse that is only because of the direction and camera work.it seems that jayasoorya is clearly unfit to his role of ASP.this role would have better suited to naren. altogether an average movie for timepass.

i agree if you are a viewer,who enjoys a movie with brain this may be a idiotic story…But for those viewers, who approaches movies as an entertainer this film is very interesting since lots of thrilling moments are there. This is a movie for youth. I liked it.

മലയാള സിനിമാ വ്യവസായം രക്ഷപ്പെടുന്ന ലക്ഷണമുണ്ട്. എന്ത് വേസ്റ്റു സിനിമയെടുത്താലും കൊള്ളാം, നല്ല എന്റര്ടൈനര്, സമയം പോയി എന്നൊക്കെ പറയുന്ന കുറെ കാഴ്ചകാരുള്ളപ്പോള് പിന്നെന്തു പേടിക്കാന്?
സാഗറിന്റെ ഉള്ളിലിരിപ്പ് മനസ്സിലായി .ലൌദ് സ്പീകര് കൊള്ളില്ലെന്ന് എഴുതി റോബിന് ഹൂദ് മഹത്തരം എന്ന് ഇവിടെ പോസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
100/100 for SureshK’s comment…..the movie is utter waste….everyone knows its a flop…last to last saturday hero was making a statement in channel’s tht he didn’t get ticket in sreepadmanabha theatre bcoz f rush,will all respect to upcoming star,same day i got ticket without any reservation..On a positive side,camera,art direction etc are good…story & screenplay are total waste…prithvi is ok not good/bad,jayasuriya waste as usual,narien-ok,samvrutha waste,bhavana-nothing to do…I totally agree with GK’s review…forget about this movie…

This is a good entertainer. At least i am going to watch a movie for entertainment. I belive most of those who posted in this site are the fnas of Super Stars. I cannot sit and watch any of their movies. If a movie is created for entertainment, this film is getting pass mark on that aspect.
