Archana in Neelathamara
1979-ല് എം ടി വാസുദേവന് നായരുടെ തിരക്കഥയില് യൂസഫലി കേച്ചേരി സംവിധാനം നീലത്താമരയാണ് 2009-ല് ലാല് ജോസ് വീണ്ടും വിരിയിച്ചത്. ചെറിയ ചില വ്യത്യാസങ്ങളുണ്ടെങ്കിലും കഥ പഴയതു തന്നെ. മുപ്പതു വര്ഷങ്ങള്ക്കു ശേഷം ഈ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള് എങ്ങനെയായിത്തീരുന്നു എന്നു കൂടി പുതിയ ചിത്രം പ്രേക്ഷകരെ കാണിച്ചു തരുന്നുണ്ട് എന്നതാണ് പ്രധാന വ്യത്യാസം. മാളുവമ്മ(ശ്രീദേവി ഉണ്ണി)യുടെ രോഗവിവരമറിഞ്ഞ് എത്തുന്ന പഴയ വേലക്കാരിയായിരുന്ന കുഞ്ഞിമാളുവും മാളുവമ്മയുടെ മരുമകള് രത്നവും. അവരുടെ ഓര്മകളിലൂടെ പഴയ കഥ വീണ്ടും പറയുന്നു. ഹരിദാസനു (കൈലാഷ്) കുഞ്ഞിമാളുവിനോട് (അര്ച്ചന കവി) തോന്നുന്ന കാമം അവള് പ്രണയമായി തെറ്റിദ്ധരിച്ചതും, ഹരിദാസന് രത്നത്തെ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നതും പിന്നീടുള്ള സംഭവങ്ങളുമാണ് പഴയ നീലത്താമരയുടെ കഥ. ഈ കഥ, പുതിയ നീലത്താമരയില് നീണ്ട ഫ്ലാഷ് ബാക്കായി മാറുന്നു.
PLUSES
പുതിയ താമരയുടെ ഒന്നാമത്തെ പ്ലസ് ഇതിലെ ഗാനങ്ങളാണ്. അനുരാഗ വിലോചനനായി എന്ന പാട്ട് ഗംഭീരം, നീലതാമരേ പുണ്യം ചൂടിയെന് എന്ന പാട്ടും കൊള്ളാം. പാട്ടുകള് ഒരുക്കിയ വയലാര് ശരത്ചന്ദ്രവര്മയും വിദ്യാസാഗറും പ്രത്യേക അഭിനന്ദനം അര്ഹിക്കുന്നു. ഈ പാട്ടുകള് കേട്ടിട്ടാണ് പലരും സിനിമയ്ക്കു വന്നതെന്ന് ഗാനരംഗങ്ങള് തിയറ്ററിലുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ഉണര്വില് നിന്നു വ്യക്തം. അടുത്ത പ്ലസ്, കുഞ്ഞിമാളുവിനെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച അര്ച്ചന കവി. മലയാളിയെങ്കിലും ഒരു മെട്രോ നഗരത്തില് വളര്ന്ന അര്ച്ചന ഒരു നാടന് വേലക്കാരിയുടെ വേഷം വളരെ ഭംഗിയാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഹരിദാസായി എത്തിയ കൈലാഷ്, അപ്പുക്കുട്ടന്റെ വേഷം ചെയ്ത സുരേഷ്, രത്നമായി എത്തിയ സംവൃത സുനില് എന്നിവരും നന്നായി. മുതിര്ന്ന കുഞ്ഞിമാളുവിനെയും രത്നത്തെയും അവതരിപ്പിച്ച പുതുമുഖങ്ങളും വേഷത്തോട് നീതി പുലര്ത്തി.
MINUSES
ഈ ചിത്രം എന്തിനു വീണ്ടുമെടുത്തു? നീലത്താമര കണ്ടിറങ്ങുന്ന ആര്ക്കും ഇങ്ങനെയൊരു സംശയം തോന്നാം. കാരണം എം ടിയെപ്പോലെ ഒരു രചയിതാവിനോ, ലാല് ജോസ് എന്ന സംവിധായകനോ കാര്യമായി ഒന്നും ചെയ്യാനില്ലാത്ത സിനിമയാണിത്. (റീമേക്ക് ചെയ്യാതെ ഉറക്കം വരില്ല എന്നാണെങ്കില്, പഴയ എത്രയോ നല്ല ചിത്രങ്ങള് വേറെയുണ്ട്!) വേലക്കാരിക്ക് യജമാനനോടു തോന്നുന്ന അനുരാഗം കണ്ടും വായിച്ചും മടുത്തു കഴിഞ്ഞു. ഈ പഴകിയ വിഷയം പോലും അതിസുന്ദരമായി അവതരിപ്പിക്കാം എന്ന് നന്ദനത്തിലൂടെ രഞ്ജിത്ത് തെളിയിച്ചതുമാണ്. വല്ലാതെ ഇഴയുന്ന പുതിയ നീലത്താമരയുടെ ക്ലൈമാക്സ് ആണ് ഏറ്റവും ദയനീയം. ഇതിലും catchy ആയാണ് നമ്മുടെ സീരിയലുകാര് ഓരോ എപ്പിസോഡും അവസാനിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.

dissapointing film from lal jose- M.T combination. lagging too much. screenplay did not develop enough on to the mind of kunjumalu, the main charector and hence not able to create any impact or sympathy from the part of audience ,which should have been required to the success of this film. the actress archana as kunju malu has done a fair job with some good acting. i have still a doubt in mind that why lal jose choose this film to remake as its message is not at all relevant in this modern society. next time please try little bit fast movie with good message. thanks.

Movie Raga യുടെ സംഘം താമര വാടിയിട്ടു പറച്ചാല് മതി. സിനിമ ഇറങ്ങിയിട്ട് ഇന്നെയ്കു നാലു ദിവസം ആയി. ഇനി എപ്പോഴാണാവോ റിവ്യൂ വരുന്നത്? ഇത്ര വൈകി റിവ്യൂ വന്നിട്ടെന്തു കാര്യം?
The movie really disappoints. We expected a lot from the combine, but disappointed
we don’t expect such a pakka boring film from Laljose and M.T. I agree to sudev(above). titles & credits graphics are nice. but it’s not reflected in the film. nothing feels after seeing this film

Could have been better. Direction lacks intensity and Lal Jose succeeds only in picturisation and characterisation. The abrupt end of the film will badly affect its success. M T should have given this script to Hariharan or Mohan or at least Ranjith to remake ‘Neelathamara’. Only consolation is excellent acting by the newcomers. One song is good and the other one is below average as far as Vidyasagar’s creation is concerned

എം.ടിയുടെ ഒരു തിരകഥ സിനിമ ആക്കണം എന്നാ അടങ്ങാത്ത ആഗ്രഹം കൊണ്ടാകണം ലാല് ജോസ് ഈ കാലാഹരണപ്പെട്ട ചിത്രം വീണ്ടും എടുത്തത്. മുപ്പതു കൊല്ലങ്ങള്ക്ക് മുന്പത്തെ പ്രേക്ഷകര് അല്ല ഇപ്പോള് ഉള്ളത്. ചതിക്കപ്പെട്ട വേലക്കാരിയുടെ കഥ ഇന്ന് ആരെയും വേദനിപ്പിക്കില്ല എന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കാന് എന്തേ മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രതിഭാധനനായ യുവസംവിധായകന് പറ്റിയില്ല?

ആദ്യത്തെ 15 മിനിറ്റിനകം, കഥയില് സംഭവിക്കാന് പോകുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങള് വിളിച്ചു പറയുകയാണ്, സംവൃതയും, അര്ച്ചനയും, ആ അമ്മൂമ്മയും. അത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ, കുളത്തില് സവം പൊങ്ങുമ്പോഴും, അവന് ആരെ കല്യാണം കഴിക്കും എന്നതും, വധു ഇതൊക്കെ അറിയുമോ എന്നതും, കുഞ്ഞു മാളുവിനു എന്ത് സംഭവിക്കും എന്നതും ആദ്യം തന്നെ മനസ്സിലാവുകയും, ഈ സീനുകളുടെ ആകാംഷ നഷ്ട്ടപെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.
Good casting and shots.. mind catching atmosphere, colors and cinematography.. But story is not much powerful or catchy. Firs 20 mints lagging very much.

ഭരതന് ആകുവാന് ലാല് ജോസിനു ഒരിക്കലും കഴിയില്ല . അകെ ഒരു ആശ്വാസം പാട്ടുകള് മാത്രമാണ് . കൊച്ചു വയലാറിനും വിദ്യസഗരിനും അഭിനന്ദനങ്ങള് .
ഈ പടം ആകെ ഒരു തമാശ ആയിട്ടാണ് തോന്നിയത്. ഒരു പഴയ ബ്ലാക്ക് ആന്ഡ് വൈറ്റ് പടം ഒന്ന് കളറില് ആക്കുക എന്ന ഒരു ഉദ്ദേശമേ ഈ സിനിമക്ക് പിന്നിലുള്ളൂ എന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു. അതിനിത്ര കാശും സമയവും കളഞ്ഞതെന്തിനെന്നാണ് മനസിലാക്കാത്തത്.
